      Free Movement ConferenceMarch 23-25th, 2018 | Wilmington, NC Working Narratives, the southern media arts and organizing effort, invites you to participate in the 2nd annual Free Movement Conference - March 23-25th in Wilmington, North Carolina. By building a collaborative lab of media and creative organizing strategies we are building grassroots power in the South. We are thrilled to partner with social and racial justice organizations such as: Free Press, Human Rights Defense Center, South Carolina Youth Action, Harm Reduction North Carolina Coalition, Resource Help for the Disadvantage, Grassroots Institute for Fundraising Training, MuckRock, The Watering Hole, Seeds of Healing, Radical Voices & Artistic Expression,  SEEDS of Healing, Inc. and more.Are you engaging in policy fights and looking for creative interventions? Are you fighting to end mass incarceration? Do you imagine a media that serves the public interest? Are you organizing for racial justice? Do you want to build a youth media movement? Is environmental racism impacting your community? Do you believe in the power of the arts to transform communities? If so, you are a good fit for the Free Movement Conference!We want to make Free Movement accessible to our community.  If you need support in bringing yourself or group or have any other questions please contact us at info@workingnarratives.orgFor a full description of the speakers, tracks, and workshop please visit www.freemovementproject.org.  Schedule At  A Glance (March 23-25th in Wilmington, NC) Friday: Opening Ceremony at 7:30pm with keynote speaker Steven TrasherSaturday: Registration opens at 8:30am. Workshops from 9:30am-6pm with evening opening performanceSunday: Workshop from 9:30am-2pm with closing session. What’s included with you registration package?You gain access to over 30 workshops and trainings in social, economic and health justice issues.  Your registration also includes complimentary continental breakfast daily, lunch on Saturday and an amazing conference t-shirt. We offer a sliding scale registration rate of $20 - $125 so that the conference can be accessible to as many people as possible. Please support the Free Movement by giving as generously as possible with your registration contribution. The true expense of the FMC is $125 per person. We will consider the registration amount you pay in excess of $125 as a tax-deductible gift to Free Movement Conference.
