      The Living Room

Is your LIGHT on? The Living Room is a new Friday Night, (20 something) Venue at Bethesda. The focus group is targeted to reach the 18-25 year old generation as well as other (20 somethings). You can help by simply just telling others about this new exciting gathering and inviting anyone you meet that is within that age group (20 something).

The Living Room is a Faith Based Gathering of the 2 Virginia’s, Greenbrier County and this Region’s "20-Something's". Every Friday night people from different areas of this Region, different churches, and different denominations will gather together for a time of worship. There eventually will be a live band. Messages will be given that challenge, inspire and motivate people in their spiritual journey. We hope you will invite others and if you are (20 something) come and find yourself at home in The Living Room.

We have established The Living Room as a place of community where people can connect and build viable relationships. Our feeling is that no one should have to walk this walk alone. From the earliest stages of people trying to find out about this whole “God thing” to the most mature Christ follower...everyone needs someone in their life that is committed to seeing them grow and mature in their faith. At the heart of community, you’ll find people who just simply want someone to share their tragedies and their triumphs, their brokenness and their healing. We hope that if you are (20 something) and find you need community, that you’ll let us help connect you.

The vision for the Living Room is to create a very non-traditional, non-religious setting that is “relational” where this generation can gather to fellowship, network, and cultivate Godly relationships with one another as well as develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with God.

We’ll be letting God “out of the box”, and we will be thinking outside the box. God cannot be contained within these four walls and there will be an overflow that will reach out into the community, the county and this region.

The purpose of The Living Room is to “mobilize this generation”. To train and equip (the 20 somethings) in their call of God for wherever God is calling them… whether in the public sector or the church. We want to reach the un-churched and break the perceptions of man made attempts to reach God so that new believers can also reach their full potential in Christ.

Got talent? God gave it to you and we are going to help you discover your talents and your God-given abilities to glorify God.

The core values of The Living Room will be prayer, community, evangelism and worship. We are going to talk to God and let God talk to us. We are going to let God shape us and allow God to make use of us while we are full of life, energy, vigor and vitality. Let’s not miss our appointment with God.

The Living Room will be meeting starting October 12 @ 7pm and will meet every Friday thereafter. The Living Room will plan to do an Outreach within the community at least once a month.
