CWBF: From Wausau to Montana - Poet Lowell Jaeger

The Central Wisconsin Book Festival is so happy to welcome back home Wausau native and poet Lowell Jaeger!

Lowell was born and raised in Wausau and attended the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County before moving on to graduate from the prestigious Iowa Writer's Workshop. He will read from some of his eight poetry collections, including his most recent collection, "Earth-blood & Star-shine," published in March 2018. (We're hoping he'll read his poem about the Wausau library where he spent so much time as a youngster!)

A life spent in poetry - writing, editing, teaching - resulted in Lowell being named the 2017-2019 Montana Poet Laureate. He is the recipient of numerous awards, as well as fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and Montana Arts Council. Currently, Lowell is professor of English and creative writing at Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell, MT.

A Q&A and book signing will follow Lowell's reading. Free and open to the public. Call 715-261-7230 for more information.
