      Olga Caceanova, violin

      Praised for her “aplomb” performance by the Boston Globe, violinist Olga Caceanova is a laureate of the 2011 Hudson Valley String Competition and the recipient of the 2009 Saint Botolph Club Foundation’s Emerging Artists Grant. She is also the winner of the 2005 Kiev International Violin Competition, the 2002 Sinaia Competition in Romania and the 2000 Luxembourg Music Competition.

      Born in Moldova, Ms. Caceanova attended pre-college and college divisions of St. Petersburg Conservatory and continued studies with Mark Lakirovich in Cambridge (Mass.) at Longy School of Music. She completed her musical studies under the guidance of Donald Weilerstein at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.

      Highlights of Ms. Caceanova’s recent engagements include performances at Lausanne Conservatoire, Oxford College, Elmira College, Yellow Bark Festival and Galeazza, Italy. Additionally, she performed works by Enrique Granados (1867-1916) at the Cervantes Institute in New York City, which was recorded for WQXR, New York’s classical music radio station.

      Ms. Caceanova has been a member of the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra, with which she has extensively toured the United States and Europe. She has performed at numerous prestigious venues in Russia, including Glazunov Hall of St. Petersburg Conservatory, Glinka Philharmonic Hall, the Concert Hall of Moscow Conservatory, and the Slobodkin Center in Moscow.
