      ON-SALE INFORMATION: Presales for the Songs of America Tour begin Wednesday, April 17 at 12:00 p.m. local. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 19.  Join Grammy Award-winning Tim McGraw and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham as they explore American history through music. As they publish their new joint book, Songs of America, Meacham and McGraw will give an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at what went into creating this book and their friendship as they combine their individual perspectives as writer and artist to create a unique view of the role music has played in uniting and shaping our nation. Republican or Democrat, conservative or liberal, the Songs of America Book Tour will be both illuminating and entertaining. To add to the evening, the audience will get some special musical performances of songs from the book by McGraw. Every ticket includes a copy of Songs of America: Patriotism, Protest, and the Music That Made a Nation (a $30 value). IMPORTANT NOTES: This event is general admission, standing room only and takes place outdoors, rain or shine at Magnolia Market at the Silos. A limited number of picnic tables are available on a first come, first serve basis on the perimeter of the lawn area. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and the talk begins at 8:00 p.m. Magnolia Market will be open for extended shopping hours for all ticket holders from 7:00-9:30 p.m.     FAQs What time can ticket holders start forming a line?The Silos grounds will close to the public at 6:00 p.m. and will officially re-open for ticket holders at 7:00 p.m. A line may start to form in the designated area no earlier than 5 p.m. Due to expected summer temperatures, all guests are encouraged to drink plenty of water throughout the day and avoid forming a line earlier than the time indicated above. Will Magnolia Market be open for extended shopping hours?Magnolia Market will be open for ticket holders from 7:00-9:30 p.m. Is there designated parking for the event? Is parking free?There is free street parking in the area around the Silos, in addition to a limited number of free parking spots in the Magnolia Market lot located between Jackson and Webster. Are strollers allowed?While lawn chairs are not permitted on the grounds for the event, a limited number of picnic tables are available on the perimeter of the lawn on a first come, first serve basis. Only smaller, umbrella strollers are permitted. Is Magnolia Market + Event Venue ADA Accessible?Yes. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and elevators are located inside Magnolia Market.Our venue is wheelchair accessible with elevators located inside the Magnolia Market. During the event, our lawn will offer a designated section for our guests with specific ADA needs. ASL interpreters will be present for the event, as well. At least one companion seat will be available for our guests with ADA accommodations. If you have specific ADA needs, please give us a call prior to the event at (254)-235-0603. What will seating look like for the event?This is a general admission, standing room only event. Will there be added security on-site?Yes. Safety is always our top priority, There will be a mandatory bag check at the entrance and a police presence throughout and around the venue. Can I bring my own food or drinks into the event?Unfortunately, no outside food or drink is permitted beyond the ticket entrance. The Silos’ food trucks will, however, be open during the event. Is there a book signing? The Meet & Greet Package includes a pre-signed copy of Songs of America. All other guests will receive an unsigned copy of the book.
