The Commodore Ballroom first opened its doors to the public in the late 1920s. It closed briefly in 1996, only to reopen in 1999 after a $3.5 million renovation, and has continued to go from strength to strength ever since. With a capacity of a little under 1,000, and such a rich history, it's little wonder that the Commodore Ballroom has become one of the best-loved live music venues in the greater Vancouver area.Over the years, many legendary performers have made their mark on the Commodore Ballroom schedule.
