The Marquee Theatre Tempe is a small-sized live music venue located in this Phoenix-neighboring Arizona city. Opened in 1993 under the name, Red River Opry, the venue came under new management in 2000, and sunsequently became the Marquee Theatre Tempe as we know it today.
The Marquee Theatre Tempe is owned and operated by Lucky Many Concerts, the #1 independent event producers in the Southwest. Given its proximity to Arizona State University, the Marquee Theatre Tempe has become a popular entertainment destination for a large portion of the student population there. As such, the Marquee Theatre schedule tends to feature acts which cater primarily to this demographic. However, the range of genres showcased is a diverse one.
The Marquee Theatre Tempe has a reputation for attracting some of the biggest names in music to its stage. Katy Perry, Social Distortion, Kesha, New Found Glory, Owl City, AFI and Jack’s Mannequin are just a few of those featured on the Marquee Theatre schedule in the past.

I love the Marquee Theater. I've seen probably 30 shows there! Great place to see a show. I just think they need to something about how hot it gets inside during the summer. Anybody that hasn't been there.. go for sure, you wont be disappointed.. but to the management; do something to keep the place cooler in the summer.

Don't go to the Marquee Theater for anything! When I went to pick up my tickets, the theater had put up chains in the parking lot and didn't have clear markers. When I ran into them with my car and damaged my vehicle, the general manager basically told me that this was private property and would not give me any contact information. Apparently the only person accountable is the owner and he was on vacation. Then, the manager grabbed me and pushed me out the door. Knowing I couldn't get my money back for the ticket, I went to the concert with my boyfriend. There is no place to sit. All you can do is stand on a sloped concrete floor. Very dangerous. They allow drunk people to ram into the crowd at will. Yes, someone hit me and knocked me to the concrete floor. Trust me, go anywhere else but here.

The Marquee Theater needs to do something about getting more air through the place. I was there for a show a couple weekends ago, it was pouring rain and nice and cool outside.. but 1000 degrees inside. We thought we were going to die!
