      Butterfly Walk at Elinor-Klapp Phipps Park

      Help the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, WFSU, and Coastal Plains Institute win the Tallahassee/Leon County City Nature Challenge as we compete with 170 other cities around the world. Join Dean and Sally Jue, two of Florida's most esteemed butterfly experts and members of the NABA-Hairstreak Chapter, to discover the incredible diversity of butterflies at this park. Record your finds in iNaturalist as you walk to contribute to the Tallahassee/Leon County City Nature Challenge. Park at Gate A off of Miller Landing Road.   Please note that there is no restroom on site.  FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Yes, we ask that participants be six or older.  What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? You will need to drive your own vehicle and park at Gate A off of Miller Landing Road.  What can I bring into the event? Bring your phone with iNaturalist downloaded, a pair of comfortable shoes, hat, and water. Binoculars will be helpful if you have them. How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
