      1st Annual Yoga-thon Festival Fundraiser for Mental Health Awareness

      FAQs   Who is It's Mental? It's Mental is a grassroots advocacy group created by musician, singer, songwriter, film producer Ameila Curran, and they looking to destigmatize and support those dealing with mental health issues in Newfoundland and Labrador. For more info check out their website:  How many people can I have on my team? 12 people maxium can be apart of your Mental Health Awareness Team. This allows for at least 1 person to attend one of the 12 classes.  What do I wear to the Event? Teams are encouraged to wear a Team costume, uniform or same colour theme to solidify your group. Use your imagination and get creative! There will be a prize for Best Team Costume!  Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? You need to bring a goverment issued ID so you can be allowed in the building. They will not let you in if you do not have one. All ages Event! (All classes will be beginner style flows, but there will be no specialized classes for children to follow. However, all are welcome to come and participate in any way they can! If you have young children that are attending you are fully responsible for them during the classes as there wil be no child minding from the organizer or the volunteers) What time should I show up? Registration starts 7am for an 8am Opening Class time! Please arrive early to register your team and set up your mat in the gym. What are my parking options for the event? You can park in the gated parking lot where there is ample parking spaces. Do I have to attend all 12 classes? At least one participant from your Team needs to be present during every class as part of the Yoga-thon Challenge. Even if you just lay on the mat in Savasana or childs pose for the entire class! What if I have never done yoga before? That's totally OK! These will be beginner Level 1 Yoga classes and it is just about having fun and being apart of an amazing event for Mental Health Awareness! Leave all judgement at the door :) What if I get sick or hurt during the event? There will be a volunteer First Aid Centre set up to tend to all injuries or illnesses that may occur during the Event. What can I bring into the event? Yoga Mat, cushion, blanket, yoga blocks/straps, water bottle, change of clothes, snacks, phone, personal items   How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Email Teresa Butler at with any of your questions or concerns. Can my Team get sponsored for this Event? Your Team is encouraged to raise at least $500  for this Event and you can do this through any sort of fundraising ideas that you have. There will be a prize given to the Team for the Most Money raised for the Yoga-thon. So get your thinking caps on how you can rasie the most money for Mental Health Awareness!    What's the refund policy? Sorry/not sorry, but there are no refunds! This is a fundraiser :)   Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes Please!    Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? The ticket is not transferrable but it can include up to 12 people on your team.   Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes that is ok! Just make sure you are with the correct team that is registered.
