New hands-on programs now available for Spring Break 2009!
Flight Explorers programs are half-day adventures into the wonders of aviation for elementary-aged children in Grades 1 through 5. Each session includes:
* An exclusive tour of the Museum’s Gallery
* Hands-on construction and flight testing of a model aircraft
* A special flight simulation experience in the Flight Sim Zone
* Special Flight Sim Zone pilot wings
Sessions are scheduled during three-hour periods on weekends and holidays during regular Museum hours. A program fee of $30 per session ($25 for Members) must be paid; separate Museum admission is not required. Choose from four different topics:
Airplane Adventure:
Learn about the science of aerodynamics and the parts of an airplane. Build and fly a rubber-powered airplane (NEW for April 2009) and master the basics of flight in the Flight Sim Zone. It’s a fabulous introduction to aviation!
