      CASA Volunteer Information Session

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Monterey County (CASA) serves as a voice for some of our most vulnerable foster children in Monterey County. A CASA is a trained community volunteer, who has the opportunity to broadly influence the life of a foster child by advocating across many important life issues, including permanent placement, health care, education, and enrichment activities. Many more children can thrive with the intensive intervention of a CASA volunteer, and this is how you can help.

The first step toward becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is attending an information session. Join us for an hour to learn how you can make a much needed difference in the life of a foster child. No specific education background is necessary, as we offer a comprehensive training course for all potential advocates before they are paired with children.

We look forward to sharing more information about the work of CASAs at our upcoming information session held at: CASA of Monterey County, 945 S. Main Street, Suite 107, Salinas, CA on Friday, March 23rd from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. For more information, or to RSVP for this or a different information session, contact Kathryn Pernet at or call (831) 455-6800, ext 31.
