Live Music - The Davis-Bradley Duo with Mike Franke

Returning to our stage will be one of our personal favorites, the Davis-Bradley Duo! Kathy Davis and Bradley Bishop played a great show for us earlier in the year and we are really pleased to have them back! Kathy Davis performs on mandolin, guitar, and bass while lending smooth lead and harmony vocals to the duo. Her partner, Brad Bishop entertains audiences on the banjo, guitar, bass, harmonica, claw hammer banjo, and adds lead and harmony vocals to the duo. They bring high-powered blue grass and mountain music and you can expect to hear fresh renditions of the classics as well as several original compositions. Check them out at https://www.davisbradleyduo.com/.

Opening for Davis-Bradley, and returning to 3rd Street will be acoustic blues specialist Mike Franke. Mike brings all his experience to his songs and to the stage, with a brand of message-infused blues and Americana that ranges from humorous to edgy, silly to profound. His relaxed stage presence leaves the audience smiling, feeling, thinking, and humming along. Think: John Prine, Chris Smither, Steve Earle, or Tom Rush. Expect Mike to slip a slide on his finger, too. Check him out at https://mikefrankemusic.com/.

Now in our 31st year, 3rd Street Coffeehouse is a non-profit listening room run by volunteers and never has a cover charge. We are alcohol free and smoke free and feature fresh bakery from Evie’s Wildflour Restaurant and Bakery in Roanoke with a great selection of regular and flavored coffees, teas and cold drinks. We are located in the basement of the historic Trinity United Methodist Church and our door faces Mountain Avenue. We pass the hat for our performers and 100% of the money collected goes to the performers. Doors open at 7:00 PM.

Cost: Free - We pass the hat for our performers.
