      Join us for lunch, networking, and conversation with Dr. Susan Looney.   11:30am–12:15pm: Arrival and Lunch (provided by Wild Sage Kitchen and Restaurant)   12:15–12:45pm: Business Card Exchange Game   12:45–1:00pm: PA Ace Network – Information Session   1:00–1:30pm: Keynote Presentation | A Non-traditional Path to the PresidencyDr. Susan Looney, President of Reading Area Community College   Dr. Susan Looney has had a remarkable journey to her current role as President of Reading Area Community College.  A high school dropout at the age of 16, Susan decided to devote her life to her family’s harness horse racing business, becoming one of the most successful female harness drivers in the nation.  She holds the record of being the youngest driver to win a race at the Meadowlands Racetrack and the first female driver to win a race at Garden State Park.  After a serious racing accident, Susan began to re-evaluate her life’s goals and entered a community college after earning her GED.  She completed her associate degree, continued on for a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business, a Juris Doctorate, and ultimately a doctorate in educational leadership.  Dr. Susan Looney is a passionate advocate for education, promoting the role of the community college as a valuable partner in community and economic development. +++++ Free parking is available at the Front and Washington Garage (Bld.16), located directly next to the Schmidt Training and Technology Center (Bld.9). +++++ About PA ACE: The ACE Women’s Network facilitates the networking of women interested in pursuing leadership opportunities in higher education. A 4-part structure — Network Executive Council, independent, state-based networks with state coordinators, presidential sponsors, and institutional representatives — facilitates these connections, allows for sharing of best practices, particularly at the State Coordinators Annual Conference, and enables local leadership training by the state networks.
