      Every Avenue

In a recent interview, mid-western pop rockers Every Avenue were asked a question that would normally be difficult to answer: "How would you describe your sound?" For vocalist Dave Strauchman the answer was simple: "We sound like Every Avenue." His response could not be more true. Every Avenue blends a style that is all at once innovative and reminiscent of a time in rock and roll when the name of the game was simply to have fun. The Marysville, Michigan quintet has been climbing the industry ladder since 2003 and, armed with a spectacular new record and a heavy tour schedule, it seems that ladder stretches pretty high into the sky. Every Avenue formed in 2003 and self-released two EP's in 2004 and 2006 before signing to the Southern California label, Fearless Records, in 2007, who released their acclaimed EP AH!. In February 2008, the band released its debut full length, Shh... Just Go With It and watched it rise to #27 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. The record's first single, "Where Were You?" received play on Yahoo Radio and AOL Radio and was also featured on "MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet", gaining more than 150,000 downloads on Mark Hoppus' "Hi My Name Is Mark" blog on I-Tunes. The video also won MTVU's The Freshman. With their second album Picture Perfect, Every Avenue is set to take things to a new level. The band bounced in and out of studios throughout much of the winter and spring working hard on the LP, produced Mitch Allan (Jonas Brothers, Faith Hill) and Mike Green (Paramore, The Higher, Set Your Goals). "We spent all of our down time in L.A. writing and recording," remembers guitarist Jimmie Deeghan. "It was a long process. Any time we had off it seemed we were flying some place to record. The experience was rough, great, awful, amazing, stressful, and rewarding all rolled into one." The highly anticipated follow up to Shh... Just Go With It, the album contains 11 euphoric, huge-sounding tracks, showcasing the band's ability to diversify their hooks. Picture Perfect offers a much wider variety of songs than their debut, ranging from mid-tempo jams to fun sing-a-longs to radio-ready hits. "We are really happy with the way the album came out," said guitarist Joshua Randall. "We were able to try a lot of things that we have always wanted to try." The excited and accomplished vibe radiating from the band reverberates on every track of Picture Perfect, which will hit stores in November 2009 courtesy of Fearless Records. When asked about the future and what it means for the band, Jimmie simply says, "We'd rather be touring and playing music than anything else." Fans can expect to see that excitement reflected in every single second of any Every Avenue performance. Spending nearly 300 days a year on the road, including appearances at the Vans Warped Tour, the band has completed tours with such acts as All Time Low, Mayday Parade, The Maine, The Audition, Boys Like Girls, and Metro Station. The remainder of 2009 will find the band on tour with Hey Monday in the United Kingdom, before heading back for a full U.S. tour with The White Tie Affair, and a big support slot scheduled for the start of 2010. For Every Avenue, the journey is just beginning. A fun approach to music that is fresh and unique, a dedicated fan base, a strong and supportive label, and a new record that will have people singing along from start to finish is just the tip of the iceberg when talking about the band that calls "pure rock n' roll joy." With so much already done and so much left to do, the band clearly says it best: "Hopes and dreams and memories, you cant take away from me."a band truly defining their sound and making it their own. Making their mark though hard work, the stunning vocal stylings of singer Dave Strauchman and an unfaltering belief in their brand of quality rock tunes, the Motor City five-piece has exploded from hometown shows to international success in a few short years. The band has been a staple on the rock circuit since 2004, clocking up tours with All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Metro Station and Hey Monday, and was featured in Alternative Press' Most Anticipated Albums 2011. The band's single "Tell Me I'm A Wreck" was in high rotation on Sirius Hits 1, with several weeks appearance on the 20 on 20 chart in fall 2010, and the poignant video resonated with fans worldwide, picking up airplay on MTV2 and was named Kerrang! TV's Video Of The Week. Every Avenue stands defiant, a stable of killer tracks under their belts, poised to take Bad Habits to new heights. Get ready to get addicted!

      Set it Off

Starting in 2008, after Cody Carson, then a student at the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music in Ohio, decided that his true passion was the road, and creating music that fans alike could relate to, moved home, where he reconnected with Kerr, Something and Clermont. In the past year, the Tampa Florida based band released their second EP, Calm Before the Storm; played the Warped Tour; racked up nearly a dozen endorsements and were featured on Friends Or Enemies and in Alternative Press and Substream magazines. They are tireless performers, racking up some 200 gigs on a more than 10 tours since July 2008; racking past 80,000 miles on their van and even more voracious self-promoters, always looking for ways to connect with their many fans online and in person. They know the fans are what drives their career, so they do as much as possible to interact with them. Feeling they've grown up from their trendy beginnings and tired with the generic sound in the scene as a whole, they've focused on developing a new sound for themselves, something they like to call "Orchestral Pop", fusing their classical backgrounds (Carson and Clermont were both in Jazz band) with pop music, something they hope, will "Set It Off" in the industry.

Making a claim of performing a countless number of shows, while on face value may seem noteworthy, does not necessarily speak to the impact a band is able to make while on the road. Seemingly, since the beginning of rock and roll a band could pack themselves in a van and stay out there as long as their heart and soul could endure countless trucks stops and sub par accommodations. So when it is noted that the band Conditions have played over 200 shows it is certainly a testament to their commitment. Perhaps more impressive though, is the tangible payoff and direct impact this band has been making worldwide while grinding it out show after show. Conditions have sold over 16,000 digital songs and over 3,000 CDs on their own as independent artists. They have shared stages in the US and Europe with the likes of Paramore, New Found Glory, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Good Charlotte. They have earned themselves spots on the Vans Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, Bamboozle Festival, and SXSW Music Conference. This Richmond, Virginia band attributes much of their current success to experiences they all went through playing in previous bands dating back to their high school days. Touring at such a young age has provided invaluable lessons that are still carried with them to this day. While learning from past mistakes may be paying off in the present, all the wisdom in the world will not make up for a lack of quality songs. It does not take but one listen to the music of Conditions to quickly understand why they have been able to make fast and lasting impressions on fans. They write songs that are instantly accessible to a listener without any dilution of heart or lack of hard cutting edge. Their commanding stage presence and airtight musicianship during live performances emits a vibrant and impassioned spirit. It is this rare mix of charisma and chops that has allowed Conditions to amass a loyal and supportive fan base from swooning teen pop fans to discerning older rock fans. Those fans purchased 4,000 songs off of their You Are Forgotten EP in the first month of its release. It is exactly that type of zealous fan reaction that has caught the eye of media outlets nationwide. The Alternative Press recently proclaimed the band as one of their "100 bands you need to know in 2010". 2010 is indeed looming large for Conditions. Their brand new full-length album, "Fluorescent Youth", is set to be released on September 14th through Good Fight Music. The songs are steeped in hard rock with an infusion of heart felt pop. Track after track finds towering hook laden choruses fit to reign on radio's airwaves. The vocal prowess of Conditions is on full display as engaging 3-part harmonies sing songs of life, love, and hope. The depth and substance of the lyrical content will assure these high powered pop rock anthems resonate with fans on an authentic and meaningful level. "Fluorescent Youth" is the sure fired vehicle that will skyrocket Conditions into the next strata of stardom.

      Car Party

Car Party. Now here is a band well worth your time; a band that shows more than promise, but absolute skill in their craft; a band well beyond their life span. Hailing from the Baltimore area of Maryland, this four piece play a pop-tinged alternative rock that will easily make fans of the 90's fall in love. With a sound that would work great alongside the likes of Third Eye Blind, Jimmy Eat World,... Death Cab For Cutie, and The Early November, Car Party have all the ingredients for a successful musical formula. What is most surprising about this band is just how young the group still is. Founded in late 2009, the band didn't even have a full formation or sound until sometime the following year. Coming together in the beginning through a CraigsList post by drummer Taylor Hughes, Car Party quickly began to impress their local scene and self released an EP late 2010 titled Excuses. The album garnered them a lot of attention for obvious reasons. With the hit single, "Love Online", Car Party was quickly excelling and crafting their already amazing sound.
