School Tours @ Willow City Farm

Willow City Farm, located just 6 miles west of Veterans Parkway off of Farmingdale Road, offers educational tours for students from Kindergarden - Middle school.  We've had groups from home school classes, preschools, and Boys & Girls Club groups. While at the farm, students can meet and feed the calves, goats, lambs, sheep, horses, and alpaca, collect chicken eggs, and learn all about livestock and safety on a farm. We have seasonal craft projects that include painting with baby chicks, planting seeds, or painting pumpkins.  Students can tour our outbuildings (barns, coops and even an outhouse) that are over 100 years old and were moved to the farm by draft horses.   We'll even discuss the historic carpentry used to build these buildings! Field trips are available Wednesdays, and Fridays from May - October.  (If you need a different time/date, please contact us as we may be able to accomodate you.)   All students must come with a signed waiver by a parent or guardian, and younger students will need chaperones. Cost We would LOVE to make our farm tours free, but we have to cover the cost of the liability insurance and staff to assist us. Students: $10/student (or a minimum of $100 if less than 10 students)Adults: $5Teachers: FREE Lunch can be offered for $5/student, or students are welcome to bring their own sack lunch or snacks. Advanced Reservations required.
