Before indie rock became so prolific in recent years that most bands are now casually dismissed into the "indie landfill", there was The Killers. Upon the release of their acclaimed single "Mr. Brightside", The Killers thrust indie rock into the upper echelons of mainstream popularity, making their tour dates and albums widely sought after. Despite their origins in Las Vegas, The Killers' synth-infused style has become hugely popular with fans around the world, particularly in the UK. Despite the band's members stating that it might take them a while to release, and it being the cause of no tour dates in 2011, fans are excited about The Killers' upcoming album; their first in three years.
After playing at clubs locally in Las Vegas, The Killers experienced success in the UK thanks to the single "Mr. Brightside." That success spread to the US and other parts of the world with the release of Hot Fuss, which went platinum six times and featured the hit singles "Somebody Told Me" and "Smile Like You Mean It." The Killers followed-up with Sam's Town in 2006, which experienced nearly the same success as their debut effort. The album was succeeded by a number of headlining tour dates, including memorable performances at Madison Square Garden and Glastonbury Festival.
The Killers' third album, Day & Age, received even better reviews than Sam's Town and also went multi-platinum. With The Killers' continued success fans can't wait to see what the indie band has planned next; even though they'll have to. Be sure to check Eventful once the album is released for all the latest 2011 tour date information.

I hate The Killers, I've never even pretended to like them (can tolerate that Mr.Brightside song if I'm leathered enough at a wedding maybe) but I don't see why Eventful keeps emailing me recommending me to go see em. It ain't happening!!! If Chemical Bro, Prince or Primal Scream tour, then ya can email me recommendations for them, Killers-neh thanks!
