The Feens are a rock band from Hamburg Pennsylvania that started when four musicians got together after playing with individually successful projects. They have very diverse backgrounds which contribute greatly to their purist rock and roll sound. Think of 1972, Quentin Tarrintino, fast hot rods, and lots of stunts with these guys. The riffs they create growl like an engine, steaming with an undercurrent of bottom end ferocity. The Feens take rock and roll to completely new plateaus by staying true to the classics, all the while using a contemporary marketability that appeals to all ages.
The band is in its infancy, only 6 months old, although you could never tell once you've seen them play live. It all started when guitarist Zach Ernst and drummer Jared Kulp got together to jam with the far fetched hope that they would find a bass player that fit. Well..... they found one. A powerhouse riff machine bassist from the North named J McCabe. After many hours in the garage, they called singer-songwriter Mike Narvaez to come and help arrange their new tunes. Very quickly he became the frontman and lead vocalist for the group. Since the bands inception new drummer Matt Liptak has joined the group.
Some of the bands influences are Deep Purple, Captain Beyond,Budgie, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. All the songs that they write are completely original and echo the times when rock music was filled with soaring guitar solo's and improvisation. They have a backstreet rock and roll sensibility and attitude that make their stage performance unforgettable. One listen to any song in their set and you're hooked.
Currently The Feens are still in the process of finishing their full length LP and will be done by summer. They are packing local venues and creating a buzz on the internet. Due to their viral marketing campaigns and social media networking, they have attracted, in only 6 months, a whopping 11,832 friends on Myspace. They have reached number 1 on Reverbnation local charts.
The Feens wish to play as much as possible. Any venue that's daring enough to give them a chance will not be let down. They would like to be booked at bigger festivals and concert halls around the US and tour
