~ ENG ~ Nofuck begins playing in Civitavecchia (Rome, Italy) in 1997, when DAVID PENNESI (guitar) and DAVIDE PODDESU (drums) gather to express their dissatisfaction with their lives and thirst for more through thrash metal. The band concept focuses on relational troubles: jealousy, unfulfilled desires, misunderstandings and, above all, sufferings deriving from forced sexual abstinence.

Several alternate as singers and bass players, untill 2005, when EMILIO SONNO (bass) becomes a member: the stability that he brings to the line-up allows style refinement and increased productivity. So Nofuck enters studio for recording its first official demo: "Syndrome". The two founding members have to sing themselves, since they fire the former singer during the recording. As the release spreads through metal webzines, Nofuck is joined by Naples-based DANIELE CRISTIANO (vocals), reaching its last line-up and longed-for growl: it's time for recording a new cd!

"Existenzminimum" (2007) is Nofuck's first full-lenght. It represents the whole production of the band at its best, from its roots deep into 80s and 90s thrash-metal through the latest thrash-core influences. In-your-face riffs and heavy sounds plus rhythmic articulations and more complex arrangements. The original concept expands to lack and necessity of space - both physical and spiritual. Today the combo is still on stage and works on its next album: "Walls of Flesh".

~ ITA ~ I Nofuck nascono nel 1997 da DAVID PENNESI (chitarra) e DAVIDE PODDESU (batteria), due studenti universitari appassionati di thrash metal. Il concept alla base delle loro creazioni e del nome autoironico è quello dei problemi relazionali tra uomo e donna, della gelosia, degli amori non corrisposti o fugaci, delle incomprensioni e della sofferenza derivante dall’astinenza forzata.

Diversi cantanti e bassisti si avvicendano negli anni, finché nel 2005, con EMILIO SONNO (basso), viene alla luce "Syndrome", la prima vera e propria demo del gruppo, nella quale i due fondatori sopperiscono alla mancanza di un cantante stabile eseguendo di persona le linee vocali. Nei mesi seguenti arriva anche DANIELE CRISTIANO (voce) col quale i Nofuck riescono a proporre una consistente serie di esibizioni dal vivo e a registrare il loro primo full-lenght.

"Existenzminimum", esce quindi nel 2007 e contiene otto pezzi che rappresentano al meglio l’intera produzione del gruppo, tra le radici nel thrash degli anni ’80 e ’90 e le influenze del thrash-core più attuale. Al concept tradizionale si affianca quello più esteso della mancanza di spazio – fisico e spirituale – e dell’insoddisfazione.

Subito dopo l'uscita dell'album il gruppo sembra sciogliersi, ma dopo un lungo periodo di pausa tutto si risolve e oggi i Nofuck tornano a calcare i palchi, mentre preparano "Walls of Flesh", il loro prossimo full-lenght.
