      Bio

Chris Hardwick is a comedian, actor, TV host, author, writer, producer, and podcaster whose quick wit and up-to-the-minute intellect have made him the voice for a generation of pop culture enthusiasts. Hardwick currently serves as founder, CEO, and creative head of Nerdist Industries, a media empire under the Legendary Digital Network that encompasses the Nerdist.com website, YouTube channel, and Hardwick’s incredibly successful Nerdist Podcast, which he continues to host and garners over 6.9M downloads per month.

Hardwick is perhaps best known as host of Comedy Central’s Emmy Award-winning nightly comedy game show @midnight with Chris Hardwick. Additionally, he hosts AMC’s Talking Dead, the weekly live after show which airs as a platform to discuss the network’s highly rated show The Walking Dead. The show began its fifth season this October. He also continues to lend his voice as “Craig” in the Nickelodeon animated comedy series Sanjay and Craig.

Hardwick will next be seen as host and co-executive producer (alongside LeBron James) of NBC’s new game show series The Wall. The series will feature everyday people and families competing for life-altering amounts of money in a game of knowledge, camaraderie, and luck.

On stage, Hardwick continues to tour the country on his multi-city standup comedy tour, Funcomfortable. His first comedy special, Mandroid, aired on Comedy Central in 2012.

Hardwick served as a contributing writer for Wired Magazine for six years. He released his first book, The Nerdist Way: How to Reach the Next Level (In Real Life), in 2011.

He currently lives in Los Angeles with his fiancée Lydia Hearst.
