While his songs, albums, and tour dates have gained commercial and critical acclaim the world over, Bruce Springsteen himself is a piece of Americana. With 20 Grammy Awards and over 120 million albums sold, Bruce Springsteen has cemented his place as a rock legend. While Bruce Springsteen has no scheduled tour dates in 2011, he is currently hard at work on a new album that should be released by the end of the year.
While Bruce Springsteen formed his E Street Band from New Jersey natives early in his career, the group wouldn't experience world wide success until a five night engagement at New York City's Bottom Line Club. The tour dates preceded the 1975 release of Born To Run, which became Springsteen's breakout hit and is considered to be one of the greatest rock albums of all time. After releasing hit albums and building his popularity, the rock phenom reached the next plateau of success with his 1984 album, Born in the U.S.A.. The album was followed by years of sold-out tour dates and worldwide acclaim. Springsteen was largely inactive during the 90s, returning to the mainstream in 2002 with the 9/11 inspired The Rising. A return to tour dates followed and Springsteen experienced a return to popularity with the releases of Magic (2007) and Working on a Dream (2009).
Fans disappointed by a lack of tour dates in 2011 can be reassured that, once his latest album is finished, a full concert schedule will follow. For all the latest info on Bruce Springsteen tour dates, be sure to check Eventful.
