I have been a Bruce fan almost all my life. However everytime he went on tour I could not go. In the early 70's I was not born. In 1984 I remember my friends parents going to the born in the usa tour however I was 7 years old and was too young to go. In 1987-the early 90's I was still unable to go to the show. In 1999 I was in college and broke and couldn't afford the $100 ticket. In 2002 I wanted badly to see the Rising tour however I just started a job and couldn't get off. In 2002 I made a promise to myself if Bruce and the E street band ever went on tour again I would go to as many shows as possible and thats what I did. I went to 10 Magic shows. It all started in Chicago I went to both shows with a large group of people from Indy. We all met at a little bar called the fieldhouse in Licoln Park. The show's were great. The highlight for me was Prove it all Night and a great Tunnel of Love. Next stop was Rochester NY. Sat on the floor for that show and had a great time with some college kids. It was awesome seeing so many different people enjoying the music. The highlight had to be the small venue and Rosalita. On to Buffalo NY. Went to this show with a good buddy and his family. Sat right behind the stage. It was awesome. Highlight of the show was Ties that Bind to open up and Living in the future when Bruce played to the behind the stage crowd. Back home to Indianapolis. Ran into a friend in the hall at conseco fieldhouse and was able to get all my friends in the suite for the show. Highlight had to be seeing Danny back with the band. Cincinnati was the next show. Went with some buddies hung out at the in-between before the show. Highlight had to be Glory Days. Then headed to Columbus OH. I snuck back to the front row behind the stage. Finally got my shot out from Bruce. During Living in the future Bruce headed right towards me and gave me my shot. Highlight of all was seeing Bruce 2 nights at Giants stadium. OMG it was like mecca. Tailgated in the lot with a bus load from Penn. Night 2 was on the floor. I went with my wife and to my surprise he played our song Drive all Night. I was stunned by the silence of the crowd and the greatness of the song. Final show on my 10 show tour was St. Louis. Finally hit the pit lottery by 10 people. Squeezed my way to about 3rd row from the stage. If you have never stood in the pit you have to do it. It is a totally different show. Highlight of the show was Out in the Streets. In closing if you dont know a bruce show is like a snowflake there aren't two the same. Each show is different and that is what makes them great!
