Bio

Crunkcore band BrokeNcyde has received a mixture of positive and negative feedback since their formation in 2006. The title of their second album I'm Not a Fan, But the Kids Like It! seems to sum up the band's perspective on how they're received. Members of BrokeNcyde have taken personal attacks by an older of critics in great stride, and regardless of what is said about them, BrokeNcyde sells. The band has produced two hit records and played concert dates with some of the biggest names in hardcore. They're even headlining tour dates in 2011 on The Death Race Tour, proving that -- like the title of their latest album -- BrokeNcyde Will Never Die.

The band was conceived by singers David "Se7en" Gallegos and Michael "Mikl" Shea in 2007 when they began promoting their music online. Soon Julian "Phat J" McLellan and Anthony "Antz" Trujillo found out about the vocal duo and decided to join up. While writing enough songs for an album, BrokeNcyde played tour dates with the likes of Breathe Carolina and Drop Dead, Gorgeous.

They received their big break when they performed their single "FreaXXX" on MTV's TRL in 2008. Just a few months later, BrokeNcyde signed with Suburban Noize Records and released their debut EP, BC13, at the end of 2008. The album's release coincided with a promotion with Hot Topic and the EP achieved moderate success. BrokeNcyde followed up the record's release with numerous tours, including concert dates on the Get F$cked Up tour with Millionaires and tour dates on the I'm So Fierce tour with model Jeffree Star.

BrokeNcyde's first full-length album was I'm Not a Fan, But the Kids Like It in 2009, bringing them into the public eye with its success. The band followed the album with several more high profile concert dates on the 2009 Warped Tour, The Original Gangstour with Eyes Set to Kill and Drop Dead, Gorgeous, and tour dates on the popular Saints and Sinners Tour in 2009 with Senses Fail. Soon after BrokeNcyde co-headlined concert dates on the 2 Drunk 2 Fuck tour, they returned to the studio for their second album, Will Never Die. The album spawned two popular singles, "Da House Party" and "Teach Me How to Scream", and has been their most popular album to date.

Now, BrokeNcyde will be headlining their first ever tour dates in 2011 on The Death Race Tour. Concert dates on the tour will feature supporting bands Vampires Everywhere!, and the tour dates will kick off on April 14 in Albuquerque, NM. BrokeNcyde tour dates in 2011 will only cover a small portion of the country, so fans should either buy tickets soon or demand that the band bring concert dates to their area.
