Bio
Currington emerged in 2003 with his self-titled debut which spawned the hit single "I Got A Feeling". But it was his duet, "Party for Two", with country's biggest country star, Shania Twain, that pushed Currington to the top of the charts. He released his sophomore set, Doin' Somethin' Right which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Country charts and he hit the touring circuit in 2005. The video for "Must Be Doin' Somethin Right" won Currington the CMT Music Award for Hottest Video of the Year and garnered him a lot of attention from female fans. While Currington toured, he penned his #1 hits "People Are Crazy" and "That's How Country Boys Roll", which solidified Currington as Country's party boy.
Currington released his latest album, Enjoy Yourself, in September, 2010 and has been touring to promote the disc. Since hitting it big in 2003, Currington has amassed a total of six #1 country hits and has toured with superstars Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. Billy Currington tour dates will have him on tour with Country's reigning king, Kenny Chesney, throughout 2011. Billy Currington has one of the most soulful, beautiful voices I've ever heard. It reaches right into your heart. Every year at the Northwestern Montana Fair, a big name, famous country music star(like Toby Keith or this yr it's Little Big Town) performs and it would be a dream come true if Billy ever came here. He could also perform at The Arena like Blake Sheldon and Joe Nichols did several yrs ago. I'm not getting any younger (I'm 61) and if I had one person I could see, it would be Billy Currington.
