Demand an AIDS Free Generation by 2015!
You can also help by choosing (PRODUCT) RED when you shop and up to 50% of the profits from each purchase go to the Global Fund.
Every year nearly 400,000 children are born with HIV. More than 1000 children are born every day with the virus. Of that number, 90 percent are born in sub-Saharan Africa. Without treatment,
about half of these babies will die before their second birthday. AIDS is a preventable and
treatable disease –the medicines exist to stop mother-to-child transmission of HIV and to ensure
that all children are born HIV-free.
The goal of virtually eliminating mother-to-child transmission by 2015 is a global commitment by
dozens of international and non-governmental organizations to work together to end mother-to-child
transmission in the developing world. The Global Fund, the recipient of (RED) funds, plays a
critical role in achieving this goal by providing countries with the funding they need to support
programs that provide prevention of mother-to-child transmission treatment (PMTCT).
