ResistAIM The Say NO Say YES Fest

ResistAIM, a coalition resisting construction of Spectra Energys Algonquin Incremental Market (AIM) gas pipeline through New York, announces The Say NO Say YES Fest, a day of activation and resistance, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Paramount Hudson Valley in Peekskill, NY. ResistAIMs fundraising event organizers plan three exciting segments for this day: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Its family and childrens time, with a carnival of fun, sustainable crafts and activities, and nonprofit groups presenting about renewable energy and sustainability. At 11 a.m. the Eco Family Circus and Variety Show takes center stage at the Paramount to present different circus acts, variety artists and to the end the great shows line-up: everyones favorite Rock N Roll Mother Goose. 3 p.m. Oscar nominee (Gasland) and anti-fracking activist Josh Foxs new film, How to Let Go of The World (And Love All the Things Climate Can't Change) will be screened. Well have a panel of speakers including Angela Fox of The Mothers Project talking about the pipeline, its dangers, and what we can do about it. 7:30 p.m. Weve planned an activist-oriented show filled with music and comedy and surprise guests - both musical and political. For instance, the evenings line-up will include Reverend Billy and his rollicking Stop Shopping Choir. The concert will be hosted by Grammy award-winning Lisa Gutkin, violinist with the acclaimed group the Klezmatics; activist folksinger, Jenny Murphy; Guthries Ghost, which includes Fred Gillen Jr., Steve Kirkman, Amy Fradon, and Jacob Bernz and David Bernz who produced "Pete Seeger at 89," winning a Grammy for Best Folk Album. The night concludes with celebrated stand up comedian Ted Alexandro, just off his tour opening for Jim Gaffigan. Time Out NY called Ted Alexandro "one of the best comedians working today. Proceeds from this event support ResistAIMs ongoing organizing and actions to Say NO to Spectra Energys AIM project. ResistAIMs Say NO Say YES Fest on April 16 will Say YES for activation, outreach, and renewable energy education.
