Local author and former Oshkosh West teacher Jim Zitzelsberger shares his
debut novel, "Cry for the Water
Buffalo." It is the story of a
      Vietnamese family decimated by
the war around them and a
sniper caught up in the military
      machine. Characters are shaped
by the war, driven by it, and,
worst of all, never freed from it.
The book is fiction but clearly
      draws on Zitzelsberger’s
      experience serving two tours of
      duty in Vietnam with Naval
      Mobil Construction Battalion
(MCB) 128 stationed at Da Nang
      and Quang Tri from 1967-69.
