      A 3 day, 2 night trip, leaving from Stony Brook at 7:30 a.m. Friday, April 26th and returning by sundown on Sunday, April 28th. This is a prime time to catch early spring migrants as well as departing winter migrants in a great variety of habitats. Stops include: Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge near Utica, Derby Hill Hawk Migration site in North Syracuse, Letchworth State Park, and Braddock Bay Fish and Wildlife Management Area near Rochester. This area is home to tens of thousands of Canada and Snow Geese as well as many species of water fowl including Ringnecked Ducks, Hooded Mergansers, Shovelers, Mallards, Widgeon and Ruddy Ducks. Peregrine Falcons, Bald Eagles and other birds of prey are often seen hunting for a meal among the abundant bird life in this area.
