      Polka Fest

      After 20 years in New Ulm and then 30 years in nearby, Gibbon, MN, "Polka Days" returned to New Ulm in 2005! It features polka and old-time bands in historic George's Ballroom, downtown, New Ulm. The bands are unknown at this date but they will be dance-oriented, old-time and polka bands. There is room for over 1,300 people with a large dance floor. Food and drink is available. Air-conditioned.
      Directions to Event From Broadway, get to Center Street in the middle of town and turn east (toward the river) for 2 blocks and there is the ballroom, prominently located in the middle of the downtown. Rates are $8 per person. No advance ticket sales. Booth and table reservations can only be gotten at the event. They cost about $4 each (seating 4 people).
