      Kitchen Essentials: Knife Skills, Food Handling and Healthy Recipes Workshop

      This one-day, hands-on skills training will be hosted by the New Jersey Farm to School Network with sponsorship by the New Jersey Department of Education, Division of Student and Field Services and Nutri-Serve Food Management Company. To assist with the new USDA School Meal Regulations, participants will be given chef's knives to work with fresh produce, creating healthy recipes that can be used in school lunch menus. Keynote: Bill Whitcomb, Whitson's School Nutrition - "Highlighting Produce from the School Garden in the Cafeteria" Instructors: Alyssa Moles, The Food Trust and Dan Witkowski, Nutri-Serve Food Management Company.
