      EVENT DETAILS
The Thrasher Brothers and Neil Thrasher in Concert

Don't miss an exciting night of music with Alabama's own The Thrasher Brothers and Neil Thrasher. The Thrasher Brothers - Jim, Buddy, and Joe are from Birmingham, Alabama. This talented group introduced and popularized one of the genuine classics of the gospel music field, "One Day at a Time," which later became a number one hit on the country charts for Christy Lane. They also extended their appeal into the pop and country markets in the early 1980s with their smash hit "Still the One" and a successful series of country-pop crossover releases that retained their trademark Southern gospel sound. This talented group has won a Dove Award, 4 Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 2005. Carrying on the Thrasher family tradition, Joe's son Neil sang with the Thrasher Brothers and later formed Thrasher Shriver with fellow singer Kelly Shriver. The country vocal duo released an album in 1996 and later split to continue writing songs on their own. Thrasher has gone on to become one of Nashville's top songwriters for acts such as Diamond Rio, Rhett Atkins, Montgomery Gentry, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney and Reba McEntire. In 2004, Thrasher received an ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award. He joins his family to perform as a special guest for this entertaining evening of music.
