      Testing 1-2-3

We're excited to announce our spring reading series exploring new work (and an updated version of a classic). We're calling it "Testing 1-2-3" and we hope you're able to join us for one or all of these pieces, which will be held in the new Z Space Below (formerly The Jewish Theatre) at 470 Alabama Street. For a $25 donation in advance you'll be entered into a raffle and guaranteed two seats in the intimate 88 seat theatre for one reading. Otherwise, there is a suggested donation at the door, come early to ensure you get a seat! We'll be hosting a reception and talkback after each performance. More information, including our casts, will follow in the weeks to come...stay tuned! Albatross by Fabrice Melquiot directed by Ben Yalom Sunday March 24, 7pm at Z Below A spunky 12 year old boy and 10 year old girl encounter a genie who tasks them with saving humanity from a devastating flood. They meet all kinds of characters as they decide who else is worth saving. Dream, reality, life and death conflate this all-ages tale of discovering what really matters when growing up. The Liar by Corneille, updated by David Ives directed by Debórah Eliezer Sunday April 21, 7pm at Z Below Why tell the truth? Mistaken identities, finding love and the fine art of telling a lie all come together in Corneille's classical French farce updated by David Ives. Faulted by Angela Santillo directed by Ben Yalom Thursday May 23, 7pm at Z Below A new play written by foolsFURY Associate Member, Angela Santillo, about a clairvoyant who can detect the next California earthquake. Four of the characters are fault lines...or are they Greek gods? An ode to Los Angeles, California, and the power of mystery.
