      Jackson County CIT Training CIT training is a partnership of local law enforcement and mental health to further improve community response to behavioral health crises.  The training is offered to Law Enforcement, Security Officers, Corrections Officers and other community members. Topics include: -          Mental health services in Jackson County -          Psychiatric Disorders and Medications -          Personality Disorders -          Substance Use Disorders and Recovery -          Suicide Prevention and Intervention -          Special Populations: Children & Youth Older Adults & Dementia Developmental Disabilities -          Mental Health Commitment Laws -          Impact of Trauma on First Responders Other highlights include -          Tour of RRMC Behavioral Health Unit -          Tour of White City VA -          Tour of JCMH Crisis -          Panel presentations those in recovery from mental health and addiction challenges -          Scenario based training Presenters include: -          Managers of Jackson County Mental Health -          Psychiatrist -          Court Judge and District Attorney -          Managers of community Mental Health, Addictions and Developmental Disabilities services -          Chaplain -          Law Enforcement Training will take place each day, Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:30.
