Award-winning artist and author Kadir Nelson spent seven years creating the handsome paintings in this exhibit for his brilliantly illustrated book, We Are The Ship: The Story of Negro League Baseball. This exhibit features 33 paintings, 13 sketches and educational materials from Nelson's beautiful and captivating book. Also on display, Works by Rupe Dalton. Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts will host a Members Reception in honor of these exhibits on Friday, February 1 at 5:30 pm. RSVP attendance to bbradshaw@piedmontarts.org.
