Hopper Woods (Rand Tract) Weeknight hike

Daylight savings time has arrived and it's time for the weeknight hikes to start. Forcast is for sunshine and warm. This is a bird sanctuary in one of the few old growth forests still in the area. Hopper Glen (woods) is in the Valley area of Syracuse at the end of Hopper Road. Hopper Road is the last left off 173 just before you go up Onondaga Hill. This is a moderate hike with twists and turns. A stream and seasonal waterfall. Vines to swing on, some interesting huts and shelters. We may see the waterfall in it's prime. There is room for a few cars at the end of the road and parking along the road. Be minfull that this is a residential area so don't block anyone in. This is always a great place for new members to jump in. Close enough and small enough to pace yourself or turn back, and enough obsticles and interest to feel like you had a workout. Might be muddy.
