11 Principles Overview at Cameron University

Attend this 11 Principles overview for a bird's eye view into what a School of Character looks like and why teaching character is so essential.  The 11 Principles of Effective Character Education offers a comprehensive road map to build a culture of character in your school. We look at everything that happens in a school through the lens of character. Character.org’s 11 Principles of Effective Character Education is designed to support:  positive school culture and climate (building relationships, caring learning communities)  social and emotional learning (SEL) character development skills (civic, ethical, intellectual, and performance values)  academic achievement (student engagement, service learning)  multiple school improvement processes (MTTS, PBIS, RTI)  classroom management through application of core values and restorative practices This session can help you develop a deeper understanding of these principles and learn how to implement them in your school.  Important Location Details This event will include 2 parts at different locations: a visit to a National School of Character in the morning and training at Cameron University in the afternoon. The visit at Eisenhower High School will be from 9-11am and the training at Cameron will be from 1-4pm.
