      Salt & Light Community Luncheon

      Compassion Coalition's Salt & Light Community Luncheons are held to address issues of importance to the faith community and Knoxville. The luncheons are at Messiah Lutheran Church, 6900 Kingston Pike from 11:30 am to 1 pm. You must RSVP for lunch and a $5 donation is requested at the event. January 25 - Joy Gaertner of Walking with Joy will discuss how The Grief Recovery Method® can give you action steps to move beyond loss including death, divorce, loss of health, finances, retirement, pets and others. February 22 - Mike Dunthorn - The homeless population continues to be one of the fastest growing sub-populations here in Knox County. A number of interacting factors contribute to homelessness: lack of affordable housing; poverty; inadequate employment; mental illness; substance abuse; family crisis; and personal risk factors.
