PLEASE NOTE: Online sales for this event will cease at 3:00 pm on June 16 -- tickets will be available at the door for $22.

Join us as four music festival favorites inaugurate Peoples Natural Gas Park! Gates open at 4:30 p.m. All ticket holders are invited to the dedication ceremony at 5 p.m. Our thanks to Peoples Natural Gas for sponsoring this dedication and for making the new park possible! We also thank L.R. Kimball for supporting the event.

Black Coffee (6:00 pm) -- Led by vocalist Caitlin Cuneo, this rhythm and blues band from Pennsylvania revives the sound and passion of traditional blues, funk, & soul music. Her backing rhythm section includes Ryan Alford on guitar, Vincent Cuneo on guitar and vocal harmonies, Keith Kavanaugh on bass, and Jim DeVoss laying down the beats. The band creates an energized show, spanning from slow blues/jazz numbers to all-out funk grooves.

Eilen Jewell (approx. 7:15 pm) . Boise-born and Boston-based, Eilen Jewell has quickly distinguished herself as one of the rising stars of a new generation of roots musicians. She mines rich veins of folk, alt country, country, western swing, rockabilly, jazz and early rock 'n' roll, creating a sound that is both inspired and inspiring. As Jewell herself notes, "There's a lot of styles of music that I love equally, and I come from all of them." A favorite at the AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival 2010, she has since released a critically-acclaimed new album, Queen of the Minor Key.

Los Straitjackets (approx. 8:45 pm) -- Surf rock straight outta Nashville! Los Straitjackets has been making its brand of raucous, instrumental rock since 1994. Their renowned live show is filled with mind-bending guitar theatrics, group choreography and fuzzed-out experiments in high fidelity rock and roll showmanship. Big riffs and even bigger chops are their musical hallmarks, and they always perform in all-black clothes and Mexican masks -- this is a show you're going to have to see to believe. Raved the Reverend Horton Heat, "I think this is the best guitar band in the whole darn world!" Those who saw them at the AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival 2010 would agree.

Tab Benoit (approx. 10:30 pm) -- .Tab Benoit is a Cajun man who's definitely got the blues. A guitar player since his teenage years, he hung out at the Blues Box, a ramshackle music club and cultural center in Baton Rouge run by guitarist Tabby Thomas. Playing guitar alongside Thomas, Raful Neal, Henry Gray and other high-profile regulars at the club, Benoit learned the blues first-hand from a faculty of living blues legends. The nightly impromptu gigs were enough to inspire Benoit to assemble his own band -- a stripped down bass-and-drums unit propelled by his solid guitar skills and leathery, Cajun-spiced vocal attack. He took his show on the road in the early 90s and hasn't stopped since -- in fact, he played the music festival in 1997 and 2011.
