      Workshop: Grant Writing Simplified

This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to grant writing, to include sourcing grants, research, proposal development, post-submission review, and compliance management. You will learn best practices, grant writing myths, and get the chance to practice your new skills by completing a mock proposal. While this workshop is tailored more to non-profit organizations seeking grant funding, it will also cover grant writing for government agencies, small businesses, and individuals. You will walk away with greater confidence to seek grant funding for your big ideas. You will also receive access to a toolkit of additional resources to further develop your grant writing skills. About Lauren: Lauren Kirk has spent the past three years as a Housing and Community Development Fellow at the University of Memphis, where she earned a Masters in Social Work and a Masters in City and Regional Planning. During that time, she served as a grant writer and grant compliance manager for the Clayborn Temple Restoration Project, where she was responsible for securing and managing over $3M in federal, state, local, and private grant funding, to include grants from the National Park Service, National Fund for Sacred Places, First Tennessee Foundation, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and more.
