4th Annual Lane of Lanterns Farm-to-Table Museum Fundraising Dinner

For the 4th year, the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum Foundation will hold its farm-to-table fundraising event. Lane of Lanterns 2019 is a relaxed and fun evening featuring the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres presented by Iron Horse Grill, and a dining experience crafted by Mississippi Chef Nick Wallace. The venue for the evening is the charming Main Street of Small Town, Mississippi, on the museum campus at 1150 Lakeland Drive, Jackson, MS. This year will again be a family style dinner with tables and seating down the center of the Small Town main street. The dress suggestion is business casual. The inclement weather contingency will include relocating the dinner to an interior location on the museum grounds. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., the first hour of the evening will consist of a signature cocktail hour with small plate appetizers. Brief tours of museum highlights will be provided during this time. At 7:00 p.m., guests will take their seats and the 3-course dinner will begin. Consisting of salad, entrée, and dessert, the dishes will be served “family style” (servers will place dishes from each course on each table and the guests then serve themselves). Throughout the night, musical entertainment will also be provided. Proceeds will support the Foundation's efforts to finance improvements to the Museum, including the on-going rebuilding of the Children’s Barn/Multi-purpose Room and the Equipment Barn/Shop. Destroyed in the disastrous 2014 museum fire, these projects will require community financial support, in addition to insurance settlement, to meet their full use potential. The Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The official registration and financial information of Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum Foundation may be obtained from the Mississippi Secretary of State’s office by calling 1-888-236-6167. Registration by the Secretary of State does not imply endorsement by the Secretary of State.   FAQs:  What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
