      Overview Construction projects can be held up or delayed due to disputes between parties and resulting in court cases. These events can have a significant impact on completion dates and profitability. The one-day course is designed to provide you with the technical knowledge on the provisions of dispute resolution and give practical advice on resolving disputes under FIDIC Contracts. The course will also introduce you to the application of Dispute Adjudication Board (DAB) rules and procedures. FIDIC Masterclass Series: FIDIC 1: Contract Fundamentals FIDIC 2: Making and Managing Claims FIDIC 3: Dispute Resolution and Dispute Adjudication Board (Note: Each topic is a stand-alone module and can be taken individually depending on your familiarity with FIDIC contracts) Learning objectives After this programme, you will be able to: Differentiate dispute avoidance and dispute resolutions. State types of disputes and issues encountered on projects and how to address it. Explain the claims and dispute resolution procedures under FIDIC contracts. Define the principles governing Dispute and Adjudication Board (DAB) Explain the use of Dispute Adjudication Board in the FIDIC construction projects. Project Owners / Employers / Contractors / Contract Administrators Quantity Surveyors / Engineers / Architects / Commercial Managers Professional from the industry using FIDIC Contracts All construction industry practitioners and contract users in general Pre-requisite:  As this is an intermediate level course, participants will need to have good knowledge or experience working under FIDIC Contracts. Particpants who have previously attended the FIDIC Contract Fundamentals is recommended for the course About the trainer George Wall, Managing Director of Asgard Project Solutions and a practising Expert Witness. George Wall advises clients internationally on dispute resolution, project and pogramme delivery, project turnaround, contractual and commercial risks and due diligence. He has over 20 years of experience with a particular focus on Heavy Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Mining and Buildings throughout Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.  George has a technical background and significant ongoing practical experience of both domestic and major international projects. This includes working with both Employers and Contractors on the efficient planning and management of multi-billion dollar multi-disciplinary projects from inception through to final completion.  George has extensive experience of the development and review of delay claims, assessment of project progress, programmes and supporting documentation to establish the extent of delays, disruption, and acceleration. George has been responsible for a number of international and domestic appointments on major construction projects as an expert advisor and Expert Witness; including the giving of oral evidence.
