The Didrichsen Museum of Art and Culture is a unique combination of art museum and private home on Kuusisaari island in Helsinki. Temporary exhibitions and permanent displays of ancient Chinese and pre-Columbian artefacts. Modern architecture and art, and a sculpture park by the sea.
Open: 2008: Tue, Thu-Sun 11-18, Wed 11-20.; in summer (1.6.-31.7.) Tue-Sun 11-18. Admission: 2008: Adults 8, children (7-18 years) 2, students & pensioners 6 (pensioners over 75 yrs free of charge). Location: Buses 194, 195 from Eliel Square and buses 503-506. Disabled persons: Please notify in advance. Access to some areas with wheelchairs, assistant needed. No lift. No Inva-WC, but a large WC. Groups: Admission: school groups 2/person (teatcher free), pensioners and other adult groups (over 10 persons) 5/person, special exhibitions 6. Guidance on request. Guides in Finnish, Swedish, English. Guide fee weekdays 55, Sun 70, school groups 30. Possibility to arrange small snack on request.Museum shop, coffee and water automat. Car park.
