      Art & Art History Lecture: Professor Larisa Dodkhudoeva

      Larisa Dodkhudoeva is head of the Ethnographic Department in the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan. She holds a PhD in Islamic culture from the Russian Academy of Sciences in Saint Petersburg and a Doctor of Letters in History from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan. She has received fellowships and scholarships from Rutgers University, the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton and the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, among others, and has published numerous books and articles about Tajik and Islamic art and culture. She will be speaking on “Miniature painting in the collection of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan".
