The Greenwood Music Festival is sponsoring a Student Artwork Competition and Exhibition to help celebrate its Sixth Season, titled "Carnival of the Animals." Artwork, submitted by middle school and high school students, will be on display in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church of Greenwood, 722 Grace Street. There will be prizes awarded during an Awards Ceremony at the Opening Night Reception, Friday, May 17, following the performance of NOYE'S FLUDDE (Noah's Flood), a church opera by Benjamin Britten. The Friday performance begins at 7:00pm, preceded by music by the Lander University Faculty Brass Quintet. For information on the Student Artwork Competition and Exhibition, and applications, please visit our website. Applications will be available from area teachers, and at the Arts Center at the Federal Building, 120 Main Street in Uptown Greenwood.
