The African American Male Empowerment Symposium is going to be the first annual event of this stature here in Greenwood, SC. The Empowerment Symposium is going to be a beneficial event to all African American males, who wish, push, or walk in their faith for success. As we bring forth amazing, devoted, driven African Americans who have endured through struggles and hardships, yet they persevered and are showing everyone that African American males are not just stereotypes. This symposium will be focusing on 6 main topics that will change, mold, and motivate all African American men.

1. Redefining black manhood in the 21st century.

2. Physical, emotional, and spiritual health and wellness.

3. Stopping and preventing violence against each other.

4. What is a black father? What should his role be in the family, the community?

5. The prison- industrial complex: what is it?

6. Employment, education, and the economics of being an African American male.
