This is the 6th year that the Rio Brazos Master Naturalists has sponsored docent-led bird walks at the Acton Nature Center in support of this event. Master Naturalist Billy Teels will be leading the walks and assisting with bird identification. A Bird Orientation program on will be held at the Opal Durant Acton Community Center (ODACC, 6430 Smokey Hill Ct), February 16th @ 10AM. Billy will give a presentation on warbler, the most common species found in north central Texas, and their identifying characteristics and songs. There will also be refreshments and door prizes for those who attend this presentation.
