Lantern Tours
These living history tours will deal with some of the many stories, some true and some not so true, that have been told by area individuals over the past 100 years concerning the cave and its human, and not so human, inhabitants. If a geological tour is what you want, this isnt the tour for you. People going on these tours should be aware of the special conditions that they will experience in the cave. The cave is extremely damp and slippery at this time of year. Be prepared for low-light conditions. The only lighting will be from the lanterns carried through the cave during the tour. Being this time of year and this time of evening, bats may be encountered as they fly through the cave. This tour is by pre-paid reservation only and is limited to 20 people per evening.
