The national conference  is where graduate and professional students from across the country gather to share best practices in leadership, higher education advocacy, and their passion for research and academic achievement. The NAGPS membership will also be deciding on the direction of the association through 2019. It is increasingly important for graduate and professional students to stand united in advocating for graduate and professional education nationwide. We invite you to join us for this years event at the U of A! This year's conference will focus on empowering attendees to bring about positive change on their campuses, and giving them the tools necessary to succeed in local and national advocacy efforts. The University of Arkansas’ Graduate and Professional Student Congress started as an interest group at their institution, striving for graduate student representation in university affairs. Since then, they have went from a group of concerned graduate students fighting for a voice, to a fully incorporated member of shared governance at their institution, and a powerhouse for graduate and professional students both in their community, and in the national conversation. In such a short time they have become a shining example for all graduate and professional student leaders across the United States. With this year’s conference, we are planning for attendees to gain the skills necessary to succeed in their campus endeavors, and build beneficial relationships with fellow graduate and professional student leaders across the United States. More information on accommodations, and submitting abstracts to present will be sent out soon. If you have any questions, you can reach me at Looking forward to seeing you there!
