When bad news comes to light within an organization, public relations professionals can serve as the ethical guide for how to handle the public release of information. Join PRSA Alaska in Fairbanks for a lively discussion in recognition of our September ethics professional development program. Jim Arkell, assistant professor with UAF's School of Management will present the "Ethics of Spin." Jim Arkell received both his bachelor's and Juris Doctorate degrees from Texas Tech. He spent several years as a corporate trial lawyer; launched a successful tech startup; spent 11 years as a law professor and consultant in China; and has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in business law and business ethics at UAF for the past 4 years.
