A Fall Yoga Retreat: Yoga, Lunch & Yoga for Emotional Well-being Workshop

A Fall Yoga Retreat Please note that if you can't make it to the whole day, there are separate prices available for the different classes/events! Also, if you already have a yoga pass, we can take that off of the total cost of the retreat for you. 9:30-10:30am: Enjoy a morning flow class to warm up the body and shake off the chill of the fall season. 10:45am-12pm: Next, join Amanda for an experience of yin yoga through the five koshas. The koshas are like sheaths of the body that, once explored, can access our true form: bliss. Together we will traverse through the physical layer, energetic layer, mind layer, wisdom layer, and finally the bliss layer through use of yin postures, visualization, meditation and quiet introspection. Kosha yin was developed by Amanda Madhu as a way to strengthen the connection of body, mind and beyond. 12:15-1:15pm: We will refuel with a nourishing lunch from the Eco Cafe.  1:30-3pm: After lunch we will begin our journey into our Yoga for Emotional Well-being Workshop with a focus on stress, anxiety & depression. We are often in a state of constant fight or flight. Our sympathetic nervous system is activated multiple times a day. Because of this, stress levels are higher, mental illness is more prevalent and stress & anxiety are more common than not. In this workshop, you will learn techniques to help not only in moments of stress, but also to begin to bring greater awareness to warning signs and how to support yourself and others. Please bring an open mind, a journal and a mat. (With nearly 2000 teaching hours and over 800 training hours, Madhu (Amanda), can say with certainty that teaching is her passion. Her desire to inspire others is apparent in her teaching where she brings together yogic philosophy, alignment principles, and a sense of "real"ness. Amanda is an ERYT-200, RYT300, and YACEP).
