In 1985 he received a degree in performance/teaching from the Geneva Conservatory with honors. During that time, Alan exposed himself to a wide variety of styles from classical, church music, funk bands, blues, jazz, and even salsa. He was a member for 4 years of one of the Boston's Hottest R&B band, "High Function".
In 1992, Alan became a band leader and started a long collaboration with a versatile singer, Yvonne Taylor, as accompanist and musical director and has produced 4 of her CDs. He has also organized 4 successful European tours.
