Thanks for the update, erica. We've changed the time to 1pm and added the phone number for tickets.

THE EVENT IS AT 1 PM. That's what my tix from Brookline Booksmith say. This is because they weren't able to include Stand By Me in the event, so it's just the reading, so it's at 1. I assume Wil's too busy to edit the event while he's on the cruise, so hopefully folks will scroll down :).

I wrote the events manager at Brookline Booksmith to ask how to get tix in advance. She says "call the store, come to the store, or come to the event." Their phone number is 617-566-6660.

$2 tickets are purchasable or reserveable now. I don't know if there's a danger of them selling out--call Brookline Booksmith now to be sure. (See info link above.)

Love this demand idea. I am planning to be there! See you in July.

I am so psyched! I am in Atlanta, but will be in Boston in July. Can't wait.

Description
This event is a result of the Eventful community of users "demanding" that Wil Wheaton come to Boston for a talk / performance / improv / whatever.

Here is a link to the original demand started back on March 13th.

Here's a comment posted by Wil Wheaton regarding this event:

"Brookline Booksmith has room in the theatre across the street, and they're hoping to put together a screening of Stand By Me in conjunction with my appeareance, if they can get a 35mm print. We've scheduled the event for July 2, at noon (with the movie) or at 1 (if the movie can't happen.) Admission to cover the cost of the theater is between 2 and 5 bucks. More details will be on my blog when I have them. Thank you, everyone, who helped make this happen, both by joining the demand, and by sharing advice on where to look for book stores n town. See you all in July!"
